The
Old Cholmeleian Society, which is named after the School's founder,
Sir Roger Cholmeley, was formed in 1893. Its main purpose is
to enable former pupils of Highgate School to maintain lifelong
contact with the School and their contemporaries, as well as
a much wider circle of Old Cholmeleians.
The secondary and equally important aim is to provide the opportunity
for OCs to participate in a wide range of business, social and
sporting activities. The Society currently has more than 6,000
members worldwide.
In addition to London-based activities
there are a number of regional sections offering local
contact,
mainly through informal gatherings, as well as over twenty
International Correspondents.
