Activities

'At the moment I am doing rounders and athletics, last term I did gym and dance. In fact, I took part in the Dance and Gym Evening which was a celebration of these activities from the Pre Prep right up to the Sixth Formers. I am really proud that I am in the netball team and this year we are unbeaten.'

Drama

'The last play we did was called Panto Pandemonium. It is a musical play about fairytale characters. It is a comedy and it is very silly. We had great fun making it and I got one of the big parts. I was a witch and I had a fantastic costume and I got to paint my face green. We have drama as a school subject and I really love it.'

Maths Club

'Every Thursday morning, me and group of my friends go to early morning Maths Club at St Michael's Primary School up the road. It is for people like me who really like Maths and are pretty good at it. We do problem solving and currently we are trying to solve a riddle made by Einstein. The Maths Club is run by Sixth Formers and the Head of Maths in the Senior School. I have also enjoyed making friends with children from another school.'

Music

'Well, I learn the tenor horn at school and the piano outside. I am in the Wind Band and have performed in lots of concerts. I enjoy being in the Year 5 & 6 Orchestra. Music at Highgate is great fun and it does not matter if you are a beginner or a Grade 5 like me, as everybody is welcome and encouraged.'
