On 2nd March 2017, ten year 12 pupils studying Medieval and Early Modern History took a walking tour of London with Mr McClory and Dr Dabby. The trip sought to explore Medieval and Early Modern England through some of its most notable landmarks, and consisted of visits to the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and Temple Church.  It was a terrific opportunity for Year 12 students to assess and examine the impact of these eras on the development of England, and the importance of religion in shaping Medieval and Early Modern attitudes. To their immense credit, the Year 12 students who went on this trip were both immaculately behaved and intellectually adroit in their engagement with the material evidence they encountered. Dr Dabby's compelling insights into gothic architecture and flying buttresses were a particular highlight, surpassed only by the enthusiasm with which Year 12 students engaged in computer-simulated military combat, courtesy of a Weaponry Exhibit in the White Tower!  PPM
