This week, the library hosted a debate between the Year 12 political candidates standing in the school's mock election. The debate was lively with some probing questions from the audience of over 150 pupils and teachers including a group of Year 6s from the Junior School.

The candidates should all be congratulated on their strong performances. They were: Ollie, UKIP; Bea, Labour; Dempster, Greens; Amelia, Lib Dem; and Jake, Conservatives. The moderators (Maya and Matt) did an excellent job of keeping the candidates in line and the discussion fast-paced.

The school's mock election will be held on the day of the actual General Election on 8 June. Voting will take place before school, during break, lunch, and after school in the Undercroft.  KS
