OC Wartime Era Reunion Lunch
OC'S MEET ON A SUNNY LONDON DAY TO REMINISCE ABOUT THEIR TIME AT HIGHGATE DURING WWII
This year’s Wartime Era Reunion Lunch was held at the School, on Saturday 17 June, for all of those who attended Highgate, Westward Ho! and Hartland Abbey during the the Second Wold War. Our wartime-era reunions have become a milestone in the annual calendar, and we were delighted to welcome our OCs again to reminisce about their time at the School during those tumultuous wartime years.
The day began with a remarkable lecture on Siege of Bastogne during the Second World War, expertly given by Charlie Smith, a Year 12 pupil.
Following this, guests made their way to the home of Adam and Barbara Pettitt, where they enjoyed a Champagne reception and a delicious three-course lunch.
The weather was warm, sunny and without a single cloud in the sky: the perfect setting for what was a wonderful reunion day
