CCF Summer Camp in Folkestone
OUR PUPILS GOT THEIR SOLDIER SKILLS TESTED THIS SUMMER IN FOLKESTONE
This year, CCF annual camp took place in St Martins, Folkestone. The camp specialised in Marksmanship principles with the majority of cadets spending the week practicing for the Annual Combat Marksmanship Test (ACMT) on the final day. Special congratulations go to Sgt Christopher Hurford who was the best shot of the contingent and was awarded the Marksman badge. The cadets who didn't take part in the shooting spent the week on the REME course where they learned about cars by changing steering boxes and wheels and also bleeding brakes. For the competition at the end of the week they put the skills they acquired over the week to the test by driving a buggy. Other activities of the week included section attacks, an obstacle course and adventurous training.
