Highgate is happy to recognise the achievements of 87 pupils who were awarded their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh certificates today. The Bronze Duke of Edinburgh program involves pupils participating in Volunteering, Skills and Physical activities over a course of 3 to 6 months.Highgate is happy to recognise the achievements of 87 pupils who were awarded their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh certificates today.

The Bronze Duke of Edinburgh program involves pupils participating in Volunteering, Skills and Physical activities over a course of 3 to 6 months.Pupils also train and carry out 2 overnight expeditions. Pupils must plan for these expeditions, navigate over 25 km carrying all their equipment and cook and camp in their groups.The 87 year 11 pupils who achieved their award is Highgate’s largest group, up from 75 last year, which was again a record number.

The Duke of Edinburgh program continues to grow at Highgate, with 226 pupils signing up for the Duke of Edinburgh Award in 2017-18 at the Bronze, Silver or Gold levels.Highgate School is the largest Duke of Edinburgh Centre in Haringey, contributing over one third of the awards in the borough.
