Biodiversity Visit

Year 5 pupils visited the Natural History Museum on Wednesday, 3 March to study biodiversity and variation in the natural world. They looked at real specimens and learned how specialised epuipment is used to study certain aspects of flora and fauna.

Pupils became scientists for the day and explored scientific processes as well as relevant equipment and computer resources. They were encouraged to ask their own questions in an interactive workshop and to learn through investigation-based inquiry.

The pupils had an informative day and enjoyed underpinning their scientific knowledge with newly acquired data and experiences. Thanks to Ms Lloyd for the trip. VN
