Buddhist Centre Visit

Year 6 pupils have had an opportunity to explore Buddhism, meditation and other items related to Buddhist practice during a trip to the London Buddhist Centre - as part of the year group’s Humanities topic.

The pupils learned about the story of the Buddha and were shown a variety of artefacts, as well as finding out about what it is like to be part of a Buddhist community. A variety of meditation practices were introduced to the pupils to help in cultivating a steady focus and a calm mind, suffused with positive thinking and strength.
