Cottrell Boyce Visit
On 30 May, Frank Cottrell Boyce presented his new book Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Flies Again. Frank is a highly acclaimed author mostly known for his novels Cosmic and Framed.
Frank was genuinely surprised when the prestigious Fleming family asked him to write the sequel to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang by Ian Fleming. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Flies Again is the first of a trilogy and the first novel tells the story of the Tooting family and their international escapades in a camper van which has Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’s original Zborowski engine. Frank met the Fleming family whilst researching the book, and the children thoroughly enjoyed hearing how both the daring Count Zborowski and his son spent their lives trying to beat the land speed record, paying the ultimate price.
