Matthew Budgett and Alex Robinson beat Richard Footman and Daniel Light in the final of the Under 12 competition. Charlie Noble and Joe Berriman beat James Angel and Kane Rayner in the final of the Prep Schools Under 13 competition. Jamie Willett and James Angel reached the semi final. Charlie and Joe then dominated the Under 14 competition and won it in superb style. Cameron Most and Matthew Kovar played brilliantly in beating a very good Shrewsbury pair in the final of the Under 16 competition.
Finally, Sam Little and Harry Hatchwell beat Eton in the final of the Open. Sam won the Open last year and he and Harry played outstandingly to win the most prized schools' competition. AB
Girls earn record achievements
Open Competition
Six of the nine pairs made it through the pools to the main competition. Pair 5 (only Year 7) did very well to make it to the quarter-finals, but were knocked out by Lancing's first U19 pair. Pair 4 won the plate competition and Pair 3 won the losers of the quarter-finals plate competition. Pair 2 got to the semi-finals, but were confronted by an extremely able Swiss pair, which went on to win the finals against our first pair. This still makes our first pair the national champions!

U15 Competition
All but pairs 9 and 10 made it through to the main competition. Pair 6 made it to the quarter-finals and a special mention should go to Pair 5, the tough, young Y5 pair, who made it to the quarter-finals, playing against much older contestants twice their height! Pair 3 played impressively, but were knocked out by Pair 1 in the semis. The final was an well-fought display between Pair 1 and Pair 2, resulting in a 2-1 victory for the former. Well done to Hannah and Francesca! All 11 pairs are eligible for the same competition next year!
