Football Fiction
On Tuesday, 26th January 2010 Years 3 and 4 enjoyed a visit by Dan Freedman – novelist and journalist. He talked to the students about his work and the inspiration behind his books Kick Off, Shoot to Win and Golden Goal.
Besides having an extensive sporting background as a professional footballer, Mr Freedman also worked for Arsenal FC, Radio Five Live, Carlton TV and Sky Sports.
His current job as Editor of the FA enables Mr Freedman to create a link between the England National Team and the public, giving the players and coaches a platform to talk directly to the fans. He accompanied the England Team to a European Championship and two World Cups. He also wrote all the programmes for England matches and the FA Cup Final. VN
