Nature Walk

Pupils in Year 3 and 4 took advantage of Highgate School’s fantastic natural surroundings by setting off to explore its allotments and pleasure gardens in an interactive workshop led by Mr Shepherd.

The main idea was to capture the imagination and creativity of children by giving them a particular pursuit when involved in a nature walk; albeit botany, entomology or even a spot of ornithology.

The above talk was conducted with focus on ‘Eco Awareness’ and children enjoyed related activities such as analysing the compost heap and planting tulip bulbs to contribute to the school’s organic and ‘home-grown’ produce. VN
