Science Week begins

To mark the beginning of an extensive programme of Science Week events at Highgate School, Year 11 pupils attended the ‘GCSE Science Live!’ conference at Westminster’s Central Hall to hear Britain’s top five scientists talk about their area of specialism. The impressive line up of scientists consisted of Prof Sir Alec Jeffreys, Prof Steve Jones, Dr Maggie Aderin, Dr Andrea Sella and Prof Brian Cox. Our pupils were already familiar with some of the scientists’ specialism but their exciting talks further inspired them about the application and relevance of their field in our modern day society.  JCYW
