Sports Day

The Junior School pupils, staff and parents enjoyed a fantastic Sports Day on Saturday 27 June, with the sun beating down on one and all. A bustling crowd of spectators and supporters only added to the triumph of the day, which many remarked was the Junior School’s most successful sports day for years. Amongst the myriad of events the participants, as well as the observers, enjoyed obstacle courses, sack-race, egg and spoon race, hurdles, 300m, 400m, 800m races, relay events, long jump, standing long jump, target throw, dart, javelin, shot and discus.

The house results of the day were as follows:
1. Sandys
2. Mansfield
3. Dyne
4. Bell
5. Tatham
6. Doulton

Congratulations to all who participated and contributed to the school’s long-standing tradition in promoting sports and games for pleasure and general well-being. This most enjoyable event was organised by Mrs Rodgers and supported by JS Games and PE staff. Thank you to all concerned!  VN
