St Petersburg Visit
On 3 April, 25 pupils and four members of staff set out early for St Petersburg. We had a wonderful 6 days visiting museums on Russian and Soviet history, palaces, cathedrals, fortresses and art galleries as well as tasting the delights of Russian blini, exploring the Aurora, the battleship that signalled the start of the Russian Revolution and shopping in markets and huge department stores, including St Petersburg’s famous bookshop “Dom Knigi”. All the pupils were excellent company, extremely attentive listeners and very good at keeping to schedules. JFM
