Y4 visit NMM

On Wednesday 5 May, Year 4 pupils visited the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich with the aim of further exploring and enriching the year group’s investigation skills on Vikings, and to give them practical experience of artefacts.

Pupils have had a variety of activities to enjoy; they examined – in interactive workshops - the skills and technologies that led the Vikings to take to the seas and travel so successfully. They have also had the opportunity to handle and trade replica Viking objects and dress in authentic costume.

Part of the visit was the 'Hands on Viking Gallery' and the exploration of the rest of the magnificent museum. Thanks to Juliet Levinson for organising the above trip. VN
