Carnival with Highgate schools

Local Partnerships

The long-running partnerships with St Michael’s Church and St Michael’s Primary School continue to flourish. New in 2007-08 was The Minimus Project, an innovative way to introduce young children to Latin language and culture. Highgate students from Years 10 to 13 spent Monday and Tuesday lunchtimes teaching Latin at St Michael’s School and at St Joseph’s School. Over thirty children were involved in each school and the scheme was a great success, culminating at St Joseph’s in June with a 75 minute presentation by the pupils – in Latin!

Last year, Highgate Junior School organised a ‘Carnival Parade’, in collaboration with three local primary schools: Highgate Primary, St Joseph’s R C Primary School and St Michael’s C of E Primary School.
