Sir Roger Cholmeley’s Charity
A registered charity, no. 312765
At Highgate School we want to meet our responsibilities to the London that lies beyond the school gates. We have had links with the parish of St Mark’s in Dalston since 1897, and many of our pupils have served in the local community, for example as part of the qualification for a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Highgate pupils have worked with primary schools, charity shops and organisations such as the Harrington Scheme. Further information about some of the ways we support the local community can be found here.
Highgate School is committed to extending the current links and to developing new ones; this is the work of Sir Roger Cholmeley’s Charity at Highgate School, named after the founder of the school in 1565. The Foundation Office coordinates the fundraising that supports the work of the charity. Information will continue to be added to this area of the website to record the activities of the charity, and we hope you will return here to see how we are working to fulfil our commitments. Alternatively, you are always welcome to contact the director of Sir Roger Cholmeley’s Charity, Robert Wilne (020 8347 2102), if you would like to know more about the current work and the future plans of the charity.
