Admissions advice

We understand that choosing the right school for your child is a big decision and you will inevitably have lots of questions before you decide to apply. We recommend reading about the Admissions process for your child’s school entry point and finding out more about our school from the resources on our website, as well as visiting us at a school open day.

Across all entry points, there is high demand for the number of places we have available each year. As an academically selective school, families are required to complete a short online application form to be considered for a place, and each child is asked to attend an assessment or an interview.

Our friendly Admissions team are on hand to help you throughout the process – their contact details are on each school entry page.

Highgate School fees & financial support

School fees are charged on a termly basis, and cover your child’s tuition, the use of books, stationery, compulsory field work and day visits which take place in curricular time. There is also the option to add music tuition.

Fee information

Bursaries at Highgate School

We believe that a Highgate education should be accessible to all academically gifted children, no matter what their circumstances. Each year, we allocate several fee assisted places through means-tested ‘bursaries’ at 7+, 11+ and 16+ to eligible families, these can cover up to 100% of fees throughout a child’s education at Highgate. The application is the same as other candidates, in addition to completing a financial assessment.
