Financial support for ambitious and academically gifted Sixth Form pupils

Changemakers Programme

Highgate School is pleased to announce its Changemakers Programme: a new initiative designed to support highly talented, ambitious young people to thrive at Highgate and beyond, whose families could not otherwise pay the fees.

Thanks to generous donor support, the Changemakers Programme will run in addition to Highgate’s ongoing bursary provision, to offer four fully funded places for entry into Highgate’s Sixth Form for the academic year 2027-2028.

Applications for September 2027 are open until 16 October 2026. Register your interest for our Sixth Form Open Evening on Tuesday 15 September and receive a booking link here.

Access an outstanding education

The Changemakers bursary programme is focused on enabling individuals with a strong academic drive along with a keen entrepreneurial flair, to access an outstanding education that will help them make a real difference in the years to come. Pupils will be supported to achieve academic excellence and pursue ambitious goals, giving them the skills, resilience and networks to make significant contributions to their chosen field after they have left Highgate.

Applications from individuals who intend to study STEM subjects at A level and beyond are desirable, although any subject combination will be considered.

Unlock your potential

Successful candidates will have an excellent academic track record whilst also devoting significant time to other extracurricular achievements or responsibilities. They will be motivated, independent thinkers, who possess ‘outside the box’ problem solving skills, with a drive to work hard and make a difference. As part of the Changemakers programme, they will benefit from:

  • Financial support covering school fees
  • Additional funding to ensure full participation in school life (including co-curricular activities, trips, resources and enrichment opportunities)
  • A challenging academic curriculum designed to stretch and inspire
  • A dedicated mentoring programme
  • Individual support to make strong applications to competitive courses at high-ranking universities, both in the UK and internationally
  • High quality careers support, access to work experience opportunities and professional networks
