The camps are run in the school holidays from Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 3:30pm, unless there is a bank holiday. We also run extended hours at an additional price: Breakfast Club runs from 8:00am – 9:30am and Late Club runs from 3:30pm – 5:00pm.
Unfortunately, we don’t take daily bookings. Camps must be booked by the week, unless otherwise stated.
Children must be in Year 1 and we can’t accept bookings for younger children or babies. Typically, camps are for children in Year 1 – Year 7, though some camps may accept older children, depending on what is offered.
Children must be in Year 3 or above to be able to swim at our camps. For their first swimming session, children will be asked to complete a swim test.
If the child does not pass the swim test they must remain in the shallow end of the pool for each swim session.
Multi-Activity Camps will swim most days, while other specialist camps will be given swimming sessions based on pool availability.
We provide a hot lunch for all children with options that cater to all dietary requirements. We also provide fruit and juice for children during the day and there are drinking water fountains for children to refill their own bottles.
It is essential you inform us of any of the above conditions when you register your child for camps. If you wish to discuss your child’s condition in more detail prior to the camp you can call us on 0208 342 7272.
The catering team provide plenty of options for your child and will work closely with the leaders to ensure your child is eating what they are supposed to each day.
If your child requires medication to be administered during camp, this should be given to the reception team at the start of each day. In a medical emergency our team are first aid trained and can administer EpiPens or inhalers. If your child needs to take medicine or tablets during the day, you must provide a medical note that gives us consent to give these to your child.
Children are split into groups based on ages. However, you are more than welcome to request your child is put in the same group as another child. We may not be able to grant every request, however we will try our best.
Mallinson Camps operate child to teacher ratios of 1:8 for children in Year 1-2 and 1:12 for children in Year 3-7. In most cases, we will attempt to have extra leaders to ensure your child has the best camp experience.
