On Wednesday 27 March, our Head, Adam Pettitt, and our OC President, Richard Brewster (CH 1959), were delighted to welcome a party of 25 OCs and their partners back to Highgate. Our guests were members of the 1565 Society, established to recognise and thank those who have kindly indicated support for our School in their Will.
The day began with a Champagne reception, followed by a fascinating presentation and discussion, led by Year 12 pupils, Ralph and Benny. The subject was Alfred the Great, and our pupils were asking, in a typical Highgate manner: how great was Alfred, really? After lunch, our Head expressed his gratitude and gave more details on how our legators are making a real and tangible impact on the future of our School.
