Last week the Drama Studio was transformed into an Olympic stadium as pupils in Years 9 – 11 participated in a production of Mike Bartlett’s play, Chariots of Fire.

Our Theatre Technician, Mrs Banks, built a running track into the floor and the audience – seated in the round – became part of the cheering crowd, as Harold Abrahams (Maya 11EG) and Eric Liddell (Gwen 11QG) competed in the 1924 Paris Olympics.

Well done to the whole cast for pulling off such a physically challenging show, and telling the famous story in such an exciting and compelling way.          JF
