A grand total of £250,981 was raised throughout our Giving Day, Highgate’s fundraising campaign to provide bursary places in our Junior School and offer extra resources such as wellbeing support for LAE Tottenham students.

Parents, OCs, friends, staff, pupils and generous match donors rallied together in our mammoth 36 hour fundraising event to raise a phenomenal £250,981. Our pupil challenges were one of our highlights of our Giving Day: raffles; uniform sales and bake sales; foodbank donations; musical performances and feats of sporting prowess all took place. These successfully completed challenges unlocked £30,522 of challenge funding and it really was fantastic to see such enthusiasm and energy from our pupils and staff!

  • Senior School pupils more than doubled their SpEx points targets (made up from cycling, running, hockey, swimming and a host of other sporting events!) , scoring 23,190 overall, and our amazing pupil bands and singers achieved 13.2 hours of busking in Central Hall.

  • Collectively Junior School pupils read 19,034 pages in just 30 minutes! The children also had great fun colouring in a giant chalk Giving Day 2022 mural in the playground and taking part in indoor spin-cycle challenges along with staff and pupils in the Senior School.

  • Pre-Prep children scored 464 goals and hoops, and sung brilliantly in the music challenge, complementing the busking taking place in the Senior School.

  • As a school, we donated 1,319 items to North London Food Bank Aid and submitted 269 images of Fast Fashion Free outfits.

Thank you once again for your support: this will make a real and tangible difference to children at Highgate and at LAE Tottenham.

And to reiterate our thanks, Mark James, Principal of the Junior School, and some very excited pupils, have prepared a special thank you message. Click here to watch it.
