The 2024 issue of the Highgate Journal magazine is out now, with recent news and features from around the school.
This year’s theme reflects Highgate’s values of curiosity and open-minded thoughtfulness to embrace difference as a source of community strength.
The lead feature explores the academic experience at Highgate, which goes beyond exam results to nurture each pupil’s ‘fully human’ potential. Highgate’s pastoral care programme ensures that pupils are cared for individually, as well as facilitating a sense of community belonging, as our pupils and parents testify.
The new Junior School language curriculum looks beyond ‘learning words’ to explore histories and cultures of people around the world and lay the foundations of how to be a successful linguist. A recent initiative in the Pre-Prep – Zones of Regulation – helps pupils to understand and manage their emotions.
