Excitement is building as we prepare for our first Giving Day: a blaze of pupil-led charitable activities, where all donations will be matched pound-for-pound! A Giving Day is a 36-hour fundraising challenge that will bring our community together, to maximise awareness, engagement and donations to Highgate is Here, our charitable campaign supporting Bursaries and LAE Tottenham.
The Giving Day will give everyone connected with Highgate the opportunity to make a huge impact, through challenges, charitable activities, and collective support. Donations will support Highgate is Here: expanding our bursary provision and introducing bursaries into the Junior School; supporting our state school partnerships, including the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham, and enhancing our Unrestricted fund, which supports everything else a child requires to thrive, at Highgate and in our partner schools, such as inclusion, an enriching co-curricular provision, and mental health support. On the Giving Day, all donations will be worth double – but our matching donations will only be unlocked if parents, OCs and friends of Highgate support us!
How will pupils be involved?
On Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 February, which fall within the Senior School’s annual Community and Charity week, and throughout the month, pupils in all three schools will have the opportunity to take part in a range of fun and challenging charitable activities. Pupil participation in these challenges will unlock funds donated by both parents and OCs. Further details of all our challenges will be shared closer to the day.
Staff and pupils took part in numerous challenges in 2020. We are excited about what we will achieve in 2022 through our first Giving Day
