Instead of thinking up headlines, James Harding, former editor of The Times and, until recently, BBC Director of News and Current Affairs, was the headline. The headline speaker, that is, at Highgate’s prize-giving ceremony last night.

In front of governors, staff and pupils from Years 11, 12 and 13, Mr Harding gave his thoughts and insight on information and power, and how he hopes they can (and will) fix the twenty-first century. He then handed out prizes to current pupils and recent leavers for their academic achievement, flair and endeavour, plus awards for contribution and commitment in the service and extra-curricular life of the School.

Highgate’s annual prize-giving ceremony recognises achievements in the last academic year by the current Sixth Form and recent leavers, who are about to go to university or take a gap year break. Congratulations to all prize-winners!
