The annual edition of the pupils’ creative writing and arts magazine The Windhover has landed!

With ‘home’ being the mainstay of 2020, and Highgate@Home being the learning focus for several months of School leading up to Summer, this year’s compilation dwells poignantly on this theme. Pupils have shared candid experiences of lockdown, how COVID has impacted their lives personally, and the world as we know it.

Director of Reading, Creativity and Literacy, Ms Rebecca Hyam says ‘This feels like a very special edition of The Windhover. The theme of home for this fifth edition has inspired a fantastic range of responses from Highgate and LAET.  In spite of the absence of our usual creative societies, workshops and talks, our pupils have carried on creating. The paintings and photographic images in this edition are a vibrant window onto our worlds, whilst the humour, richness and ambition of the writing is a fantastic way to end an extraordinary term and year.’
