To accompany Year 6 Humanities work on WW2, the pupils explored an adapted version of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. During the spring, the pupils role played the experience of evacuation and bombing raids to understand what experiences were like for the four children: Susan, Peter, Edmund and Lucy. Following this, we explored characterisation of good versus evil characters, such as the White Witch and Aslan.

Throughout the summer term, we rehearsed a script in drama lessons, whilst learning songs and movement in their music lessons. They also assisted with the artwork for the set and created their own costumes. The pupils worked really hard to produce a polished and magical performance, which was thoroughly enjoyed by pupils, teachers and parents alike!
