Highgate Economics Department offers a pacey, exciting and scholarly A level that exposes our sixth formers as soon as possible to the subject’s core technical models. It remains one of Highgate’s most popular A level subjects and we achieve excellent results, supporting a good number of Oxbridge applicants each year.

A comprehensive programme of extension classes gives students a broader lens on the subject, including History of Economic Thought, Quantitative Economics and a deeper exploration of contemporary applied case-studies. Through lectures, competitions, blogs and book clubs, Highgate economists have the opportunity to explore the subject well beyond the syllabus.
