The above figures are inclusive of lunch, the use of books, stationery, compulsory field work and day visits which take place in curricular time.
The fees listed above are without VAT. On 29 July 2024, the Chancellor announced that as of 1 January 2025, all education services supplied by a private school will be subject to VAT at the standard rate of 20%.
Fees for an academic year starting in September, are announced before the start of the preceding Summer Term (eg September 2025 fees will be announced before Summer Term 2025).
Sixth Form 16+ entry
Application fee £150 (plus VAT).
A deposit* of £5,000 is payable on accepting a place.
Senior School 11+ entry and Junior School 7+ entry
Application fee £150 (plus VAT) or £300 if tests are taken abroad, by agreement with the Admissions Office.
A deposit* of £4,000 is payable on accepting a place.
Pre-Preparatory School 4+ entry
Application fee** £150 (plus VAT) – requested only from those whose applications are accepted for assessment.
A deposit* of £4,000 is payable on accepting a place.
* The deposit is retained until the pupil leaves the school.

The costs associated with sitting and administering public examinations is charged as a supplemental item and will depend on the fees levied by the relevant examination boards. More detail is available on request. These are not subject to VAT.
35 minutes: £36.10 (plus VAT)
50 minutes: £51.90 each (plus VAT)
Pre-Prep 30 minutes: £31.10 each (plus VAT)
Instrument hire: Hire of school instruments is competitively priced according to instrument (enquire about availability and costs if required.)
Lessons are billed pro rata in arrears. Half a term’s notice (five academic weeks) is required to cancel lessons. 48 hours notice is required to reschedule a specific lesson.
