OTHER EVENTS
Our Pre-Prep pupils take part in a range of events throughout the year, including One World Week, a spring festival celebration morning, and a winter and summer end of term drama production.
Children can participate in a wide range of activities to enrich their school experience
Our pupils engage enthusiastically with our extensive programme of co-curricular activities.
In the Pre-Prep, we offer a range of clubs and activities that will appeal to our youngest pupils and make their first experience of school not only fun and exciting, but one that helps them build friendships, confidence and a sense of independence.
We are exceptionally fortunate when it comes to sport at Highgate with extensive facilities and excellent staff.
Across Highgate, we aim to inspire our pupils to think creatively. This goes beyond the classroom, with exciting co-curricular opportunities in all of the creative arts – music, drama, and art.
Our co-curricular offerings continue to evolve and develop in response to the changing needs of our pupils and the world around us.
TRIPS AND VISITS
Children participate in school workshops and experiences to enrich their project-based learning. We aim to undertake at least one visit or trip per term, connected to the termly projects that our Pre-Prep classes follow, to add to their learning experience.
Recent trips include Kew Gardens, Neasden Temple, Tolmer’s Scout Camp, Arts Depot, Kenwood House. Chicken Shed, National Gallery, Highgate Woods, Edmonton Eco Park, Hornsey Fire Brigade, Hampstead Heath and Lauderdale House
CHARITABLE GIVING
Throughout the school year, our pupils and staff support a number of different charities, with fundraising events including Children in Need, Sport Relief and donations to local food banks.
All Highgate pupils take part in our annual Giving Day and the biennial sponsored walk, raising money for several charities nominated by each school. The Pre-Prep’s chosen charity for 2024-26 is Designability; an organisation dedicated to creating innovative products that make life easier and more accessible for people with disabilities.
