Head Adam Pettitt, on exam results 2020:

“I’m hugely relieved that the algorithm-based results were withdrawn as that means that the worst injustices have been corrected […] it was staggering bureaucratic insensitivity to visit these unexpected and unwarranted grades on anyone, especially the least advantaged young people in the nation’s schools. It could have turned the clock back on social mobility for a generation.”

Time to look beyond the statistics?

Our 2019-20 Year 13 results:

  • 56% of all exam entries awarded an A* at A level (or Pre-U equivalent)
  • 86% of all grades awarded A* or A
  • 87% of pupils have been placed at their first-choice university
  • 14 pupils gained places to study medicine/dentistry/veterinary medicine
  • 25 pupils were placed at Oxbridge
  • 11 pupils gained places at international universities in the USA (including Cornell in the Ivy League), Canada and Italy
