Highgate welcomes upwards of 30 boys and girls into Year 12 each year, from a variety of schools and backgrounds.

Key dates for 16+ entry in 2021

Open Evening: Monday 12 October 2020, 5.30pm and 6.15pm
Application deadline: Friday 23 October 2020 at 12noon
Bursary award application deadline: Friday 23 October 2020 at 12noon
Application fee: £150
16+ entrance assessments: Saturday 14 November 2020
Offer letters sent: end of November 2020
Acceptance deadline: Monday 14 December 2020.

We hope to welcome you to Highgate in October for our Sixth Form Open Evening. We hope you will see for yourself what Highgate has to offer and will enjoy speaking with staff about the A level or Pre-U subjects under consideration. If we are unable to welcome you in person due to COVID-10 restrictions, we will host a virtual open evening.

Please review our admissions policy, then complete and submit your application by this date, including your application fee. All applications are acknowledged and we will keep you advised on forthcoming admissions events.

Assessment day
Saturday 14 November 2020

All registered applicants will be asked to attend one of two sessions on our assessment day. There are currently no written assessments and candidates must attend interviews at Highgate. You will have interviews in each of the subjects nominated for Sixth Form study, plus a general interview with a senior member of staff.

Successful candidates
Friday 29 November 2020

Our decision letters are sent to all candidates. Responses must be received by Monday 14 December 2020.

Offer Holders' Evening
Thursday 3 December 2020

Our offer holders reception is a chance to meet staff, sixth formers and other prospective sixth formers. You’ll be able to hear from the Head of Sixth Form and ask any questions you may have. Parents are welcome to join us at the end of the session.

Thursday 26 August 2021

Once you have received your GCSE results, these should be sent to our Admissions Office who will confirm your place.

End of Summer term 2020 and prior to the start of Michaelmas term 2020

Induction events take place to help our new sixth formers settle in and find their way around.
