By road Highgate Village can be approached from the north via the A1 or A1000 and then Highgate North Hill. From Kentish Town use Highgate West Hill and from Holloway and the south use Highgate Hill. From Muswell Hill use Muswell Hill Road and then Southwood Lane. For Junior School or Pre-Prep park in Bishopswood Road. For Senior School appointments, a parking space can sometimes be reserved on request inside the school gates on North Road. By underground Highgate is on the High Barnet branch of the Northern Line. From Highgate station it is about 8 minutes walk uphill to the Senior School and 10 minutes walk uphill from Archway station. To walk from Highgate underground station avoid the two exits at the top of the first escalator but turn right and take the second escalator up to the Archway Road, go out through the door and turn right. At the traffic lights turn left into Southwood Lane (uphill) and at the mini roundabout go straight ahead for Senior School (or turn right into the Park leading to Broadlands Road for Junior School or Pre-Prep). To Senior School Continue straight ahead for another 500 metres then turn right into Castle Yard and left onto North Road. The entrance is 100 metres along on the left. To Junior School or Pre-Prep Having entered the Park continue straight ahead until the right hand bend in the road. You should go straight ahead through the pedestrian walkway and cross the zebra crossing into Broadlands Road. After 500 metres there is a T-junction with Bishopswood Road. Turn left at the pillar box and the Pre-Prep entrance is 50 metres on the right and the entrance to the Junior School (Cholmeley House) is 200 metres beyond the Pre-Prep.
