GAINING A PLACE
Candidates sit tests at the school in English, Maths and Non-Verbal Reasoning. A significant proportion of candidates will be interviewed in groups. We also request a confidential report from your child’s current Head Teacher. In 2018 there will be places for approximately 70 boys and girls to join approximately 30 children from Highgate Pre-Preparatory School.
VISITING THE SCHOOL
Parents who are considering Highgate for a 7+ place are invited to come on a tour of the Junior School. Tours are held throughout the year on a weekday morning during term time and last about an hour and a half. The visit consists of a talk by the Principal of the Junior School followed by a tour of the Bishopswood Road site, which includes the new Junior School, Mallinson Sports Centre and the Dining Hall, where you can ask questions over coffee. These tours are designed for parents only.
Please note that in the Autumn Term, tours are usually booked up quickly. For this reason, priority is given at this time of year to parents of children sitting tests for entry the following September.
Children whose parents have already submitted an application form will be invited with their families to our Open Morning on a Saturday in September. They will have the opportunity to meet current pupils, and teachers and to participate in a variety of activities.
You may also download samples of our 7+ assessment tests in Mathematics and English.

In addition to the Maths and English papers, the children sit a Non-Verbal reasoning test at 7+.
