Year 5 at the Canal Museum
A CLOSER LOOK AT LONDON'S WATERWAYS
Year 5 pupils visited the London Canal Museum to explore the history of inland waterways. To link in with our current Geography topic of Rivers and Mapping Skills, our pupils learnt about the history of London canals, about the cargoes carried, the people who lived and worked on the waterways and the horses that pulled their boats. A variety of cross-curricular workshops introduced the pupils to the ever-changing city landscape and waterways of London.
