Plans for Highgate’s Capital Programme have been submitted to Haringey Council for planning permission
We have worked closely with the London Borough of Haringey to develop a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for the School site which was adopted by the council in March 2021.
This document is a form of an ‘Estates Masterplan’ which highlights our main ambitions for the coming decade to improve buildings and facilities to meet our modern academic requirements.
We are proud of our place in the community and feel fortunate to be the custodians of several landmark historic buildings in Highgate village.
There has been an extensive period of community engagement during the development of the proposals:
2015 | Consultation on the initial proposals for Dyne House
2016 | Consultation on the initial proposals for Richards Music Centre (RMC).
March 2018 | Public consultation: Initial consultation on a comprehensive estate wide strategy (this included the four main projects: RMC, Science Block, Dyne House and Mallinson Sports Centre).
May 2018 | Meeting with Highgate Society and Highgate Neighbourhood Forum
November-December 2018 | Two consultation events to give stakeholders another chance to consider the updated proposals and give further feedback into the designs.
January-May 2019 | Further engagement with individual stakeholders and neighbours in order to finalise the planning applications.
March 2021 | The Supplementary Planning Document was adopted by the council in March 2021
October 2021 | Planning Performance Agreement was signed by the Council and the School
February 2022 | Quality Review Panel and Sustainability Pre-application Meeting
